COVID-19
Pandemic Response
I was initially redeployed back in March 2020, as one of four PHNs assigned to call centre to support the needs of the community. Given how rapidly information was changing, I am sure many of you can appreciate how daunting this was at first. I then had the opportunity to join the case and contact management team and soon after joining I was asked if I would be interested in taking on a team lead position. During the summer months as case numbers reduced, I was sent back to my home program of Sexual Health, only again to be redeployed in September 2020. I joined the case and contact management team as a case investigator once again and soon after returning I took on a clinical support role. In this position, my role was to provide support to colleagues who were completing case and contact management for COVID-19. Through this role I often needed to further discuss case scenarios while directing case investigators to the correct ministry guidance to help guide decision-making.
